WHAT IS A PENNY WAR?

Each grade level has its own bucket for collecting money. Students earn points by adding pennies and paper bills to their class bucket. Silver and gold coins can be added to another grade’s bucket to lower their total.

Each day, the grade level with the highest total will win a daily prize. At the end of the week, the grade level with the highest total overall will win the grand prize—extra recess! Winning teachers will also receive a coffee break and donuts!

All money raised supports F.A.S.T. (Families And Schools Together), a volunteer-led organization that helps fund classroom supplies, field trips, school events, and special activities at  RPS.
