2023 PENNY WARS FUNDRAISER WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
When?: Penny Wars is scheduled for Monday December 11th- Thursday, December 14, 2023
Where?: This happens every day (Monday-Thursday) at RPS. Students can bring in change and/or bills and put it in classroom buckets, which will be counted daily.
How does it work?: Each penny or dollar bill gives their class positive points. You can sabotage another class by putting in silver money in their buckets which gives them negative points! This year, we are doing it a little differently! Each student can pick which classroom bucket to put their sabotage money in! They get to pick which class they are going to go after! (In years prior, they decided as a class who they were going to sabotage)
Why?: This is a fun way for each child to participate and earn money for their school! All proceeds are used throughout the year for many things including free student and staff t-shirts, water bottles, field trips, events, prizes, staff appreciation, and student support as needed.
Be sure to check back here daily and see which classes are in the lead! There will be daily prizes for all students in the entire grade level (TK, K, 1st, 2nd) that's in the lead each day! Plus, the overall classroom winners from each grade level for the entire week who will get an ice cream party with Mrs. Cearns!
Participation is optional.
